Finally, Free

Alcohol and drug abuse can be detrimental to the overall well-being of anyone who gets caught in the throes of addiction. In "Finally, Free," Edith Butler shares her family’s addictions and how becoming their caregiver impacted her life. She described the challenges she faced while taking care of each one. Through it all, she learned to love them through their addictions. If you and/or someone you love are addicted to drugs or alcohol, seek the help you need. There are resources and organizations available to help you.

How Dare You

Abuse in its various forms (drugs, alcohol, domestic violence, etc.) can wreak havoc on the lives of those who get caught in its web. "How Dare You" depicts how drug abuse, alcoholism and domestic abuse dismantled a family.  In this book, Danae Raschard-McCain opened up and shared her personal pain of domestic abuse at the hands of the men who claimed they loved her. A survivor of domestic violence, she lived to tell her story. As a strong proponent against domestic violence, she advocates for women who fall prey to abuse inflicted by the men they love.   Danae Raschard-McCain.  Survivor.  Encourager.  Advocate.  Let her story inspire you to freedom!

I Am My Brother

Life abruptly changed for first-time author, Zelda Marshall, when she had to care for several family members simultaneously. Life as she knew it ceased. Her willingness to help the ones she loved, caused her to go into a downward spiral. Depression and compulsive gambling seeped in. By the grace of God, family, and friends, she was able to conquer these demons and complete the assignment that was placed on her life of being a caregiver to her family. In the end, she realized not only is she her brother’s keeper, she is her brother. Even as we navigate through systemic racism and a global pandemic, we must always demonstrate love for one another — for we are our brothers' keepers; we are one.

God Bless Our Divided America Unity, Politics, and History from a Biblical Perspective

GOD BLESS OUR DIVIDED AMERICA Unity, Politics and History from a Biblical Perspective by David Marshall, addresses the injustices of America from previous times to present day from a Biblical standpoint. It delves into America's history of systemic racism and demonstrates how history continues to repeat itself today (in 2020). If this country was truly based on christian beliefs, racism and other injustices would not prevail today. This is an informative read on the topic of social injustice.
